We’re back! We were so glad to be together and we had so much to share. Here are the important links:

Shout Outs:
These are some highlights culled from our forum page. We love seeing this stuff! Thanks for sharing. Smithmks’ Korknisse are adorable and charming and make me want to knit one (or 15?) too, and her Gemini is beautiful and flattering. Check out Scitchr’s Flyspeck Fox and VictoriaBlue’s Zebra toy and all the other amazing projects.

Off The Needles:
Sally finally had something to show. She finished 3 Girlfriend Market Bags, girl friend market bag4 Rubens Hats, Mad Props Hats3 Garter Stitch Earflap Hats, Garter Stitch Earflap Hatand the long lingering Sugared Violets.sugared violets full

Susan has Liv off her needles- loved the knit and loved the yarn!

Last, but not least, Nangou was finished- Susan added stripes using Classic Elite Firefly in 3 colors.

On The Needles:
Sally has a goal to get back to work on Mark’s Vest so she can go to Rhinebeck with a clear conscience. In the meantime she has been totally distracted by Alicia Plummer’s Campside. Plucky fingering for Campside We’ve started a KAL on our discussion pages. Please join in.

Kris is working on a Tre Colori shawl using Hikoo’s CoBaSi (cotton/bamboo/silk) – a lovely yarn with a great drape.

Susan is working the Birdie Fair Isle Cardigan in Berroco Ultra Alpaca as a shop sample. Also on her needles, another Salt Water in Louet Euroflax Linen , and still plugging away on Annis in Madelinetosh prairie , in the mica colorway.

In Our Queue:

Added To Our Stash:
Sally scored a skein of Hilltop Handspun Hand dyed Sock Yarn in the Crazy Fall Colors colorway. She feels a replacement TGV coming on.

On a recent trip to Portland, ME, Kris bought three skeins of Quince’s Piper in the Abilene colorway.  She also picked up some Shibui Merino Alpaca in Blush (a very Susan color!) at the Gather Here sale and is using it for the Greta Shawl.

In Susan’s queue: Dark Pearl by Carol Feller, Artesian by Romi Hill, Carrie Bostick Hoge’s entire Madder Anthology I!

On Our Bookshelves
Sally loved Circle Of Shadows by Imogen Robertson. She also listened to Defending Jacob (Which she liked for local references)  The Racketeer. (generated some interesting discussion with teen age son) and  The Chaperone (which would make perfect knitting listening).

Susan enjoyed The White Garden by Stephanie Barron, Longbourn by Jo Baker, and the latest Shetland mystery by Ann Cleeves, Dead Water.

In Our Kitchens

Kris is enjoying Luisa Weiss’ memoir – My Berlin Kitchen: A Love Story (with Recipes) – and her blog – The Wednesday Chef – and recommends the Crostata recipe.
